Founded in 2017 by Eddie Austin and Andrew Frome, Operam Education Group completed its first acquisition in the same year, buying Provide Education: an education recruitment agency operating across three branches with its head office in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

March 2019 witnessed the second phase of its buy and build strategy, with the acquisition of Teachers UK and The Education Specialists. This was followed in December 2019, with Key Stage Teacher Supply.

The Education Specialists have been operating in the North West since 2002 with two branches in Liverpool and Manchester. Teachers UK is an education recruitment agency based in Mansfield that supplies teachers, lecturers and support staff to academies, schools, colleges and nurseries across the region. Key Stage Teacher Supply, who have operated in the North West for 18 years, have 3 offices in Blackburn, Chorley and Lancaster.

The acquisitions have strengthened Operam’s regional presence further across the UK and will bring almost 40 years of collective experience to the existing Operam platform.

Applying our knowledge through our experience:

Knowledge tells you that a tomato is a fruit, experience tells you not to put it in a fruit salad.

What we believe

We believe every individual should have the opportunity to learn and every classroom should facilitate that learning in the most effective way possible. We understand the effectiveness of such learning is driven by teachers, ‘what a teacher is, is more important than what they teach’ Karl Menninger.

For over a decade, our focus has been to place education professionals in the right environment to stimulate learning opportunities within the classroom. The key starting point of this process is getting to know our candidates, their skill sets, personality, short- and long-term career goals and their personal circumstances. Building such relationships takes time, but we believe that it is what it takes to make the right judgement.

We believe understanding our clients’ needs, challenges, internal culture and academic targets is equally as important. We have forged links across a large network of education professionals allowing us to satisfy today’s needs and support the talent pipeline to help shape future capacity of learning within the classroom. (not sure if this is quite right so will forward some alternatives)

For us, people are our most valuable asset, and success of the Operam Education Group brands depends on the success of our people. Developing, nurturing and mentoring individuals takes time, but we believe this is fundamental in order to provide a culture where careers flourish.
