Wigan is a town with a very long history, situated in Greater Manchester.
Thought to have been settled by the Romans in the late 2nd century, its more recent history is still very visible – with a total of 216 listed buildings!
The town lies 8 miles South-West of Bolton, 10 miles North of Warrington and 16 miles North-West of Manchester.
As such, it is easily accessible for large numbers of our supply teachers and support staff. Which is just as well, because Wigan is a very busy area for Key Stage!
